Rituals is one of those brands you just can’t resist once you’re near their store. I love their shops – the oriental design, the scent, the sink where you can try all the goodies… It’s a shopping haven for skin care. This time around I picked up products from the Tao Collection.
Terrana is one of the four nail polishes released in Chanel’s Summer 2015 collection. It’s the only one with shimmer and slightly metallic finish and it immediately caught my eye. I’m not crazy about metallics, but there is something about this shade that makes it look so sophisticated and stylish on the nails.
Here’s one big, big fan of this scrub. Considering I’m almost finished with my tube it’s about time I write a few words about it.
From burberry.com: Burberry Lip Mist gives a sheer illuminating finish with a subtle hint of colour. Contains moisturising emollients and wild rose extract for long-lasting hydration and protection. The smooth and lightweight texture glides on effortlessly. Apply with the finger for a natural look, apply twice for a stronger colour.
Burberry Steel Grey is a different take on grey nail polishes. It’s a mid-toned grey that leans slightly green, with tiny gold shimmer. The shimmer is not very obvious on the nails, it’s most visible in the sun, but it does give this shade a complexity and warmth that is unusual for this kind of colour.
Chanel Joues Contraste Blush in Rose Initial #72 is a bright, warm, medium pink with yellow undertones. On me the shade looks similar to MAC Dainty Mineralize Blush, but the finish of Rose Initial is more subtle. It has Chanel’s signature micro glitter, just about the right amount not to be over the top but to lift the shade so it doesn’t look flat on the skin.
Bar #056 is an eyeshadow palette from Dior’s permanent range, realised in Fall 2014. It won me over after testing it in store where every shade swatched creamy soft and the colour combinations looked perfect for a smokey eye look. However, after I bought it and have been using it for a while this palette proved to be a hit and miss for me.
The sun woke me up this morning and inspired me to pick up one of the neglected coral nail polish shades from my stash.
Burberry Sheer Eye Shadows are my all time favourite single eyeshadows. They simply tick all the boxes when it comes to the formula, staying power, shades and finishes. Burberry recently reformulated their mono eyeshadow range, they are now called Eye Colour Wet & Dry, and I admit – I’m a bit scared to try them as I absolutely love the old ones.
I have finally managed to get some decent photos of my finishing powders yesterday, I’ve tried taking them twice so far but the weather in London just didn’t want to cooperate in the past few weeks! These are my favourite face products, I use them all a lot and rotate depending on the effect I would like to achieve on a particular day. I hope you’ll enjoy the comparison photos and find them useful!
