Kiehl’s Epidermal Re-Texturizing Micro-Dermabrasion

Kiehls Microdermabrasion face scrub

Here’s one big, big fan of this scrub. Considering I’m almost finished with my tube it’s about time I write a few words about it.

From kiehls.co.uk: A highly efficacious exfoliating formula
– Affords an immediate skin-smoothing effect and with regular, tri-weekly use, helps to visibly minimize discolorations and small marks on face, hands, and décolleté
– Over time, the look of facial lines is reduced and skin texture is significantly smoother and clearer, while the appearance of pore size is diminished
– Helps to facilitate the absorption of topical skin treatments to maximize their efficacy

I’ve never thought much of facial scrubs. I didn’t find them effective enough, the beads would usually end up in my hair (not nice!) and I simply thought they were not worth the trouble. I preferred chemical exfoliation and occasionally gloves or muslins for some manual one. Until I bought Kiehl’s Micro-Dermabrasion. I’ve never used a scrub that is this effective before, plus quite compact in it’s texture so it’s easy to apply and washout.

Kiehl’s Micro-Dermabrasion can be used on the face, hands and décolleté. It’s a fragrance-free white cream packed with tiny beads of alumina for a thorough exfoliation. So it doesn’t get harsh on the skin, it’s best used lightly and only once in 2-3 weeks. It gets rid of the flaky skin easily. Kiehl’s recommends using their Dermatologist Solutions’ Centella Recovery Skin-Salve afterwards, but I simply continue with my normal routine – toner, serum and oil or face cream. After the treatment with Kiehl’s Micro-Dermabrasion skin is left clean and incredibly soft. As most of the cleansing products make my skin dry, this was the nicest surprise. Soft skin, without any discomfort.

Ingredients: WATER, ALUMINA, PARAFFINUM LIQUIDUM (MINERAL OIL), GLYCERIN, DIMETHICONE, BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII (SHEA BUTTER), PEG-100 STEARATE, STEARYL ALCOHOL, GLYCERYL STEARATE, SOLUM DIATOMEAE (DIATOMACEOUS EARTH), AMMONIUM POLYACRYLOYLDIMETHYL TAURATE, PHENOXYETHANOL, METHYLPARABEN, BUTYLPARABEN, EPILOBIUM ANGUSTIFOLIUM EXTRACT, DISODIUM EDTA, HYDROLYZED ALGIN

Kiehl’s Epidermal Re-Texturizing Micro-Dermabrasion is pricey – £40.00 for 75ml tube. But, as I didn’t use it often it lasted me a while and as it truly delivers it was money well spent.

I will repurchase it but, as any beauty junkie, I’m also always on the lookout for other great products out there. Any facial scrubs you particularly like and would recommend?
