Pink Cult is a blush that will be repromoted as part of the MAC Artificially Wild Blushes collection. This collection will soon hit the counters and it will consist of three blushes. Next to Skin is a brand new shade, while Pink Cult and Taupe are repromotes.
My version of Pink Cult is from 2012, the last time this blush was released. It’s completely matte, light-to-medium dusty pink shade. In the pan it looks almost grey and very light, but it transforms on the skin into a beautiful cool toned pink shade. The texture is a bit dry for my liking, but very pigmented.
Swatches taken in daylight, sun and shade.
The closest blush shade to Pink Cult in my stash is Illamasqua Naked Rose. Pink Cult is cooler toned, while Naked Rose is softer and neutral.
Illamasqua Naked Rose is on the left, MAC Pink Cult blush on the right:
Out of all the light pink blushes I own, Pink Cult is among my top 3. It doesn’t look much in the pan, not even when swatched on the arm, but it looks gorgeous on the cheeks. It’s a must have for every pink blush lover.
