When it comes to bronzers, Guerlain is THE brand to go for. Their Terracotta range has become a synonym for the sun kissed look – it offers a wide range of shades and finishes. As someone with fair, cool-to-neutral toned complexion I opted for the lightest shade of the Terracotta Light Sheer Bronzing Powders – Blondes 02.
Terracotta Light Sheer Bronzing Powders are mosaic powders, made of several bronzing shades that illuminate complexion. It can be used all over the face to highlight the parts where the sun would naturally hit the face, or it can be used as a blush.
#02 Blondes is made of soft pink, soft brown and bronzy shades. The formula is sheer and as such fool-proof. This shade has an orange tone on the skin when heavily applied, but when blended out that tone is not very obvious. However, during the winter months when I’m very pale, the orange is more noticeable on me, which is why I mostly use this powder over the summer months when I get a bit of tan.
The finish of the powder is not my favourite; it’s too glittery for my taste. A light hand is a must as the heavier application under a direct sunlight can get a bit too much.
Although this is not my favourite bronzer due to the shade and finish, overall I still think it is a great, high quality product. If you don’t mind the glitter, and you have a neutral or warm toned skin, this would be a great choice for you.
