Thanks to the readers offer that lovely Ruth from A Model Recommends had back in April, I ordered some samples of Omorovicza products. The products are pricey but the brand has some amazing reviews online so, naturally, I had very high expectations.
The first product that grabbed my attention was their, at the time, brand new release – Refining Facial Polisher. As soon as I finished my sample I ordered a full size.
Official description: Infused with marine micro-algae, this Refining Facial Polisher refines texture, boosts radiance and detoxifies, while natural pumice exfoliates dead skin cells, smoothing the epidermis and helping regenerate the skin. For dry, oily, combination/normal skin
Refining Facial Polisher is a mechanical and chemical face exfoliator with ingredients that, although very effective, are gentle enough not to cause dryness or irritation. It should be used twice a week, applied on dry skin in circular motion and left on for up to two minutes. This way you will get the most benefit out of its ingredients. After it has been washed with water, the skin is left extremely soft and comfortable, there’s no feeling of dryness at all.
The polisher has a dark green colour that changes to light green when you start massaging it over your skin. The consistency is like a paste, with fine sand-like particles and some larger particles for mechanical exfoliation. The consistency is a bit difficult to describe, but I hope you can get the idea from the photos below.
The scent is nice — herbal but not overpowering. Among ingredients are a cleansing Hungarian Moor Mud, exfoliating Lava Powder, Thermal Water that is high in mineral content and a Marine Micro Algae Extract that retains water and soothes. The product should be used up in 9 months after you’ve opened it.
Overall, a truly great exfoliator to have and it definitely got me interested in the rest of the Omorovicza Moor Mud range. It retails for £65/100ml
