The best thing about summer makeup is getting away with using just a few products to create a flawless look. Lately my daily makeup has been very simple as my skin feels and looks better when it’s warmer outside than during the winter. It doesn’t need as much coverage and colour to make it look healthy.
Instead of a layering serum or primer, liquid foundation and setting powder (my usual routine), I use just a tinted moisturiser or Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua in shade #20 in the morning. To conceal and highlight I use Bobbi Brown Tinted Eye Brightener in shade #2 Light Bisque. I love this concealer – it’s creamy and lightweight, it doesn’t settle into the wrinkles, and it doesn’t migrate. It has a decent coverage and it does a great job in brightening and illuminating skin around the eyes, without drying it out.
On my eye lids I’ve been using Chanel Illusion d’Ombre eyeshadow in Convoitise. I use it very sheer as an all over the lid colour. This way Convoitise lightens the eyes without looking too glittery. It looks great paired with one of my favourite eye pencils – MAC Teddy.
To finish off the eyes I use Helena Rubinstein Lash Queen Feather Mascara. This brand is not available in the UK, but I hope it will be some time in the future as Helena Rubinstein have an amazing beauty line and some of the best mascaras on the market. I bought it on my trip to Italy and regret not getting another one. It is the best mascara I’ve tried so far.

To sculpt the face and compliment the gold-brown shades applied on my eyes I use Guerlain Terra Ora Contrast Highlighting Powder. This is a wonderful product. It leans towards orange when swatched, but when applied and blended on the face it gives skin a beautiful bronzy glow and warmth. It is not a shade I would usually go for, but this particular product works great even on my fair, neutral-to-cool toned, skin. This was a limited edition powder, but it is still possible to find it online.

To finish off, Burberry Lip Glow in #24 Trench Kiss gives the lips neutral gold tint, with a beautiful high shine finish. If you haven’t tried Lip Glow line yet don’t miss them out when you find yourself near Burberry counter. They are absolutely amazing.
