MAC recently released two-part limited edition collection which is a collaboration with Sharon Osbourne and her daughter Kelly. The collection is quite fun, bright and summery and proving to be popular in the UK. I’ve rushed the review to share this beautiful duo with you while you can still grab it.
Jolly Good Mineralize Skinfinish Duo is a part of the Kelly Osbourne collection. It’s described as a light cool beige and soft pale pink, which is not completely accurate as the bronzer part has a hint of warm bronze in it making it more of a neutral shade than cool. However, since it leans neither to yellow nor orange when blended out, it would still suit both cool and warm toned fair complexions.
The bronzer part has a satin finish, it’s not matte, and it gives skin a subtle sheen. As the sheen is not too obvious or sparkly it can be used for a light contour if you are NC20/NW20 or paler. The highlighter part has an illuminating finish and is a soft, pale pink shade. Though the shades work beautifully on their own to sculpt the cheeks, the combination of the two is what I like the most – it’s a perfect all over the face powder that gives a hint of warmth to the skin.

On darker skin tones Jolly Good would probably only work as a discreet highlighter, but for pale skin this is a must have 3-in-1 product. I read complaints about the formula and staying power, but I don’t have any issues with it. It can be built up, it stays all day on me, it looks soft and subtle on the skin. When used as all over the face powder, it gives a kind of effect I was expecting from Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Mood Light (reviewed here). Jolly Good looks more natural and is more versatile. It’s the kind of product I would like to grab a backup of, even though that is something I never do.

The only other Mineralize Skinfinish I own is Adored, compared to Jolly Good, Adored is more pink and frostier. I will post comparison swatches shortly. The Jolly Good Mineralize Skinfinish Duo is already sold out on maccosmetics.co.uk, but it is still available in stores.
