Latest self tanning release from Clarins has immediately created a lot of hype, which always makes me anxious, but I must admit that it is fully deserved this time around.
I’m not a fan of self-tanning products at all – they tend to look too yellow or orangey on my fair, cool toned skin. Not to mention the unpleasant scent they often have and that they add another layer on top of my skincare routine. Clarins Self Tanning Radiance-Plus Golden Glow Booster solves all those issues.
The cleverness of this product is in its made-to-measure flexibility. I love how easy it is to use – you just need to press the bottom to dispense 3 drops of the formula, mix it with your regular day or night cream and apply to your face and neck. Compared to a regular self-tanning product this one has a much higher concentration of self tanning active ingredients – it should NOT be used alone and, as with any other self tanning product, make sure you wash your hands after use. The recommend dosage is three drops for the first three days of use. Afterwards, you can use a drop or two every day, or simply use it from time to time to keep the bronze glow lasting. The effect it creates is a very natural, even, sunkissed look.
I love my pale skin, but sometimes when it is irritated or when I’m especially tired it can look greyish and uneven. This kind of product is perfect for those days. I can get a bit of colour that looks natural, just a half shade or shade darker than my skin tone, to simply even out my complexion. I would recommend it to anyone in need of a bit of sun glow – at £18/15ml you can’t go wrong with this one.
