Official description: Designed to create multiple effects on all skin tones, it can be used to highlight, contour and sculpt the face. Ultra-fine illuminators give natural radiance and intensify light diffusion, while rosa canina fruit extracts soothe the skin. With a whisper-light texture, it gives instant luminosity in a convenient portable compact.
Released as a part of the Burberry’s 2013 Summer Splash Collection, the highlighter comes in a box and a black velvet pouch with a pocket for a flat brush. The brush is nice and usable, specially if you carry the highlighter in your purse.
The powder is extremely finely milled, it has a soft satiny texture that feels almost creamy under my fingers and applies effortlessly. In the pan it looks almost matte, sparkle is barely visible. It’s when applied to the face that magic happens – it has a subtle pink and gold pearlescent sheen without visible or chunky glitter in it. I find it to be quite versatile – it can be lightly applied for a soft, delicate sheen or built up for a more dramatic, almost metallic effect. I love using Burberry’s mini kabuki brush to apply it, it’s very soft and blends the powder seamlessly. The staying power is also excellent, I haven’t noticed any fade out during the day.
I absolutely love this product. From the luxurious look and feel of the packaging to the very soft, flattering look when applied to the skin. It’s by far my favourite highlighter in my collection and, due to the pearlescent sheen, quite unique!
