Kiehls.co.uk lists following as key ingredients:
Aloe Vera, a compound extracted from the South African Aloe plant. With over 300 species, Aloe has been used for its medicinal and skin care benefits for over three thousand years. Historically, it is known to soften, soothe and comfort skin.
Chamomile, a white and yellow daisy-like flower. Chamomile comes in various forms, including Roman, German and Hungarian flowers. The extract distilled from Chamomile has soothing and comforting properties.
Tiger Herb (Centella Asiatica), contains alkaloids and minerals that are beneficial in the treatment of a host of ailments. It has antibacterial, anti-psoriatic, and wound-healing properties. The Tiger Herb plant is sought out by wounded tigers in the wild who rub against it for its healing properties.
It took me a long time to finally find a good cleanser for my dehydrated skin. I gave up cleansing gels and foams, they always make my skin feel tight and uncomfortable, and switched to cream and milk cleansers instead. I stumbled upon Kiehl’s shop recently and got recommended the Centella Skin Calming Facial Cleanser. I needed something I can use in the morning, that is very gentle and doesn’t leave any residue on the skin. Recommended for sensitive skin, this cleanser is a part of their Dermatologist Solutions range. It’s very light, has a gel texture and it doesn’t foam. It leaves my skin feeling soft and comfortable. It can be used with or without water (removed with a cloth or a cotton pad), I prefer to rinse it with water before proceeding with my skin care. It’s not meant to be used as a makeup remover, but it does remove light makeup and makeup residue nicely.
I’m really happy with this cleanser, I’ve been using it for the past two months daily. I would recommend it for a skin that’s easily irritated or dehydrated.
It comes in a clear bottle with a pump and it retails for £26.50 (200ml bottle).
